I’ll give you a second to just soak in these next photographs.
The Grand Canyon may be one of the most awe-inspiring and beautiful places I have ever been to. It will take your breath away. And I like lookin’ at the guy on the left. He’s one handsome devil (embarrassed now John??)
So I know I mentioned it before, but now let me lay it out for you. I get really awkward in front of the camera. Any camera. I am what you call camera SHY. In a big way. The makes-all-your-pictures-from-the-Grand-Canyon-silly kind of awkward. I don’t apologize for it, but I do apologize for the next set of wonderfully ridiculous photos. If you need to return to the top of this post for a moment of sanity, feel free to do so at your own convenience.
Those are my grandparents in the above photo. They are a.d.o.r.a.b.l.e. So cute here, walking along the Grand Canyon, probably commenting on the lovely weather or how sweet their grandchildren are 😉
And there’s me. Looking like a loon. For shame Elesea! Act like a normal human being for 5 minutes!!
I’m not the only one awkward in this photo. Which makes me feel better about myself. As a matter of fact, let’s take a poll. Who’s more awkward here: John, or me. And you better vote John or else.
Let’s move away from super awkward photos of me. Let’s look now at some family bonding.
That’s about right.
It went kind of like this: first came love, then came marriage, then came one extremely strong-willed type A daughter who wreaked havoc everywhere she went.
I love them.
Once upon a time, a veeeeeeerrrrrryyyyyyyy long time ago, I hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. On that teensy little trail you see right there in the middle of that picture. This is not even close to the bottom, but the trail disappears from sight lower down.
It’s such a lovely place. If you ever get the chance to go, then GO! You won’t be sorry. And while you’re there, take a few awkward photos for me.
A 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 points to whoever guesses the correct number of times the word “awkward” is used in this post!
