I think this probably goes hand in hand with my post from last week which you can read here.

Jesus said,

In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:2-3

Y’all to me that is such a big-deal promise. I cannot wait. I cannot wait to be in the Lord’s presence. To no longer toil with the things of this world and just be able to worship God on His throne forever. It’s going to be so glorious. It’s home.

This year my baby sister graduates from college. I could gush over her for hours. She’s so pretty and smart and sociable. I’m getting to go “home” to Phoenix to see her graduate this year. I gush a little in this post here over how much I heart Arizona. Something about being there just makes me happy. From the moment the plan touches the ground or the car passes the “Welcome to Arizona” I feel free as a bird. Seriously. One of these days I just might try to flap my wings and fly away. Something about being there feels like relief. From reality. From worry. From stress.

Heaven is like that but times 10000000000000000!!! It’s going to be so great. There we will get to leave behind the burdens and cares of this world. We will focus on our King of Kings. The writer of Revelation says,

Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice:

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying

“Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever! “Revelation 5:11-13

It’s going to be so great! We will join in with ALL creation and we will glorify our God! I really cannot wait.
